Jersey Child Care Trust was the chosen charity for this year’s St Martin’s Bonfire. Thousands came and enjoyed this wonderful community event with live music, good food, a roaring (*hedgehog friendly) bonfire and some of the best fireworks we have ever seen.
We almost sold out of our annual raffle tickets with the queue to buy them at one point exceeding that of an EasyJet flight! A huge thanks to St Martin’s Committee for their amazing organisation, Jersey Mutual for their event sponsorship and to everyone who created such a fantastic event.
Our Executive Director, Fiona Vacher and Deputy Chair, Melissa Chester recently attended the presentation evening at St Martin’s Parish Hall where they were presented with a donation of £20,000.
*hedgehog friendly – the bonfire was surrounded by a 1m high chicken wire fence that slopes outwards making it difficult to climb.
