We hosted our magical ‘Christmas at the Museum’ event last week at the Jersey Museum, bringing festive joy to over 200 families and supporters of the charity. The event, generously sponsored by Ogier, was a resounding success, filled with seasonal activities, community spirit, and heartwarming moments.
Families were delighted in a variety of children’s activities with face painting, story reading, art and play activities, culminating in a lively scavenger hunt sending children to every corner of the museum. Guests sang along to Christmas Carols beautifully performed by The Harmony Friends, and adults savoured mulled wine, mince pies, and the children enjoyed cookies donated by Dough. Finally, adding to the festive feel, a highlight was a gift-giving moment, as every child supported by JCCT chose a specially wrapped present from under the Christmas tree, all generously donated by the staff at RBSi.
Fiona Vacher, our Executive Director, shared her gratitude: “We were thrilled by the incredible turnout and the warm atmosphere at our ‘Christmas at the Museum’ event. It was a wonderful way for us to say thank you to our generous supporters who enable us to give children their best start in life and to see so many children and families that we support enjoying this wonderful occasion. Our young Ambassadors shone with their planned activities for the children and helping alongside our volunteers to ensure everything went smoothly. My thanks to them as well as our team and the generous support of our main sponsor, Ogier, who not only provided the venue and refreshments but also lent us five volunteers who helped make the event such a success. We are deeply grateful for everyone’s generosity and commitment to spreading joy this holiday season.”
