Families enrolled on our Best Start Plus Programme enjoyed a wonderful day at the zoo this summer thanks to Durrell’s Access to Nature initiative.
Our families spent the morning exploring the zoo, some for the first time, before joining up with us for a delicious picnic followed by zoo themed stories, singing and signing with our puppets Sally and Sam.
All the children left the zoo with their summer packs which included some fun activities to do together at home as well as cinema vouchers thanks to the UK charity Kids Out.
This is one of our favourite days of the year at the JCCT as we get time to spend with some of the children we support and hear all about how they are getting on at nursery.
