JCCT Padel Tournament Raises Funds to Support Children in Jersey

Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT) has thanked players, sponsors and supporters following the inaugural JCCT Padel Tournament, held at Les Ormes Padel on Thursday 30th April. The event brought together local corporate organisations for a day of sport and fundraising, raising enough funds to support one child for an entire year.

The tournament was made possible thank to event sponsor Concentric Group and Les Ormes, who generously donated the use of their indoor padel courts. As a result, 100% of entry fees and funds raised on the day will go directly to JCCT, supporting children and families across the island.

Congratulations to the Tournament Champions George Moore and Ian Furness from HSBC who took the trophy after a thrilling final against Euan Spencer and Garry Forbes from SaSo Strategic Advisors.

Looking Ahead

This year marked the first JCCT Padel Tournament, with plans already underway for a bigger event next year.

Alan Le Pavoux, Charity Manager for The Bosdet Foundation, said:

“We were delighted to host the inaugural JCCT Padel Tournament. With four new courts opening and our padel capacity doubling, next year’s event will be even bigger, giving more teams the chance to take part and raise even more funds for children and families in Jersey. We firmly believe that investing in children and families will have the greatest long-term benefits for our community.”

Next year’s tournament will welcome up to 32 corporate teams. With many of this year’s teams having expressed a keen interest in signing up to next year’s event, places will be in high demand!

Corporates interested in taking part next year are invited to register their interest by emailing jannine@jcct.org.je.
