Our much loved Pirates and Princesses fundraising campaign is back for summer – full of imagination, singing and signing. We’re inviting nurseries, pre-schools and childminders across the island to join us in helping more children have their best start in life.
Pirates and Princesses brings together plenty that children love: dressing up, stories, songs and adventure. But it also brings the opportunity to support families in Jersey who rely on our programmes and services daily.
We’re encouraging early years settings to celebrate with their own Pirates and Princesses Day, filled with themed activities such as treasure hunts, royal tea parties, storytelling session and much more. And going the fun once again are Alice and Signing Sam, who will be visiting participating settings to share their favourite pirate and princess stories, songs and Makaton signs. Their interactive sessions are always a highlight for the children and staff alike.
How can a setting get involved?
- Pick a date that works for your setting.
- Use your free resources, including our poster and sponsorship form (these are available upon request)
- Book a visit from Alice and Signing Sam to bring extra excitement to your day.
- Choose how you would like families to support you, whether through sponsorship, a suggested donation or other fundraising ideas.
- Set up your own personalised JustGiving page for your setting. Online giving is increasingly the preferred option for families, and it also gives parents a chance to find out more about the work we do and the children we support.
Every nursery that takes part helps us reach more children and families who need our support when it matters most.
