The Wilma Allan Award
Our Annual Wilma Allan Award recognises students and recently qualified early years practitioners who go ‘above and beyond’ for children and families. Created in memory of our former JCCT colleague, Wilma Allan who noticed the actions of hardworking, unassuming achievers who constantly delivered, candidates nominated by childcare leaders with the final decision awarded by a judging panel.
Winners of the prestigious award demonstrate exemplary practice, are tuned into the needs of children and families, always looking at ways to improve their knowledge and skills.
How to Nominate
Childcare leaders can nominate any student or recently qualified early year’s practitioner by simply telling us their name and what they have done. Either phone Kate at the Trust on 629901 or email firstname.lastname@example.org before the end of the summer term.
The judging panel meet in September to decide the winner with the award presented at a prestigious event. For the past five years our Patron, Lady Dalton has presented the award at a Government House reception.
Winners receive an engraved medal, professional training and development to the value of £500 plus £500 worth of toys and resources for the setting that nominated them.
