Best Start Plus Nursery Funding Programme
We fund nursery places for those who need it most, when it matters most.
We fund part-time (up to 12 hours a week) nursery placements for children aged between 2-3 years old who are not meeting their age expected developmental milestones at two.
Who we help
- Developmental need
We focus on helping children with a developmental need. This means that they are not developing as well as their peers in one or more area of their development, for example, their speech and communication, or perhaps their physical development.
- Financial need
We also prioritise children who are living in low-income families. We will ask for information on finances and employment status and will also make sure that where a family can access Income Support, that they do.
How to refer
Please email sarah@jcct.org.je for a referral form, for more information on the programme or eligibility with the subject line “Best Start Plus”.
Please note referral forms can only be completed by a member of the Health Visiting team (Family Nursing and Home Care), a Family Partnership Worker, a Speech and Language Therapist, a member of the Early Years Inclusion Team or a Brighter Futures Keyworker.
