RBC is thrilled to announce the return of RBC Race for the Kids Jersey on Sunday 6th September, in proud partnership with Supertri, the global leader in short-course triathlon, ahead of the Supertri Pro Series Final.
The family-friendly event invites islanders of all ages and abilities to walk, run, scoot or push prams around either a 2.5k, 5k or 10k course, all while raising Monet for Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT).
Following the incredible success of last year’s event, RBC and Supertri are hoping to inspire even more islander to get active, take on a challenge and support an important local cause.
In 2025, nearly 1,000 participants took part in RBC Race for the Kids Jersey, raising an outstanding £56,000 for JCCT. The event created an electric atmosphere at Waterfront Gardens and became one of the standout moments of the Supertri weekend, showcasing the power of community spirit and inclusive sport.
RBC Race for the Kids Jersey is part of a global RBC initiative, with 29 family fun runs worldwide, over 470,000 participants and more than C$100 million raised for youth charities since its inception in 2009, Jersey’s 2026 edition promises to be one of the most impactful yet.
David Bailey, COO, RBC Wealth Management, said: “Race for the Kids Jersey is so much more than a race. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together around a shared purpose and make a meaningful difference for Jersey Child Care Trust. The energy and enthusiasm at last year’s race was truly remarkable, and we’re delighted to be partnering with Supertri again for this special day.”
Last year also saw the launch of a competition between Jersey’s schools, where the school with the most participants in RBC Race for the Kids Jersey won a piece of Supertri history. Victoria College Preparatory School claimed the top prize, winning a framed tri-suit signed by Supertri’s world-class athletes, along with bragging rights as Jersey’s most active school.
The competition for local schools in Jersey is back for 2026 and bigger and better than before. This year, every school that signs up to take part in RBC Race for the Kids Jersey will receive a Supertri Active School Badge, recognising their commitment to keeping children and families active.
Students, teachers and families will also gain access to a range of resources and fun activities throughout the summer holidays, designed to help participants stay active and prepare for race day. This will include motivational video messages from Supertri’s professional athletes, helping to inspire the next generation ahead of the event.
The school with the highest number of participants this year will be crowned Jersey’s Official Supertri Champion School and will receive exclusive event experiences, including a meet and greet with elite athletes, behind the scenes access at the Supertri Pro Series Final, and the opportunity for a student representative to take part in an official race day presentation ceremony later that day. Additional activities, challenges and prizes for schools will also be announces in the lead-up to the event.
Michael D’hulst, CEO and Co-Founder of Supertri, said: “One of the things we love the most about Jersey is the way the whole community embraces our events, and RBC Race for the Kids Jersey is the perfect example of that. Last year, it was great to see so many schools getting involved and welcoming the competition. We are excited to see even more pupils, teachers and families taking part this year.”
As well as inspiring more islanders to get active and challenge themselves, RBC Race for the Kids Jersey will once again raise crucial funds for an important cause. JCCT works to give every child in Jersey the best start possible in life, supporting children, families and early years professionals through a range of educational and community programmes across the island.
Fiona Vacher, CEO of Jersey Child Care Trust, said: “We are so grateful to RBC and Supertri for their continued support of Jersey’s children and families. There’s something really special about seeing so many islanders come together for this event to help change a child’s start in life. To everyone singing up to take part and fundraising, thank you. Your generosity and community spirit really make a difference.”
