Variety, the ‘Children’s Charity of Jersey’, have announced a spectacular event to support this year’s fundraising. The Summer Extravaganza will pay homage to the nostalgia, fun and thrills of the circus, with their very own ‘Cirque du Jersey’.
Variety is the leading children’s charity in Jersey, supporting projects and causes which directly impact and transform the lives of local children. This year, the Cirque du Jersey event will be raising funds and awareness for children living with disabilities who are supported by the Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT). The JCCT’s mission is for ‘every child in Jersey to have access to the nurture, care and learning they need to thrive.’
Taking place from 6pm to late on Friday 2nd August at The Royal Yacht Hotel, this colourful and bustling celebration includes a delicious three course dinner and will be packed full of fun-filled circus performances and brilliant entertainment to excite and engage the senses.
Headlining entertainment includes previous X Factor contestant and international singer James Williams. Renowned for his incredible feel-good showband tunes and Michael Bublé tribute performance, James’ electrifying big band style guarantees a night to remember. Also providing plenty of laughs on the evening is professional comedian Adger Brown. Having performed for over 30 years with sports stars and celebrities up and down the UK, he’ll be getting eventgoers laughing away!
Property Master at Variety, Stephen Clipp said “The Variety Summer Extravaganza will be the highlight of the fundraising calendar this year and we’re delighted to be hosting such a dynamic and fun-filled event. Plus, there is a real cause behind all the celebrations: local children and families need our help, and the help of the charities and organisations we work with, now more than ever. We are proud and privileged to be supporting the Jersey Child Care Trust this year, as the work they do in the community is vital. We hope as a many people as possible support this event – not only will you have a thrilling evening, but it’s a great way to give back.”
