at d'Auvergne
Our registered nursery for 2-3 year olds, providing high-quality play and learning experiences alongside support for families.
A registered term-time day nursery for 16 children aged 2-3 years old, offering a warm, caring environment where young children learn and develop through play.
Children can join from their 2nd birthday and stay with us until they move into their NEF year, ensuring continuity and security at this important stage of development.
What we offer
- A nurturing, play-rich environment designed specifically for 2-3 year olds
- A total communication approach, supporting early language, understanding and expression
- A wonderful team of 5 staff with children on a 1:4 adult to child ratio
- Morning sessions Monday – Thursday (9am – 12.45pm), giving children a consistent routine
- Friday Stay and Play sessions, where children attend with their parents/carers to explore, play and learn together
Our provision gives children the confidence to explore, the support to communicate and the foundations they need for a positive start to their early education.
Priority criteria for children accessing Play & Learn
- Those eligible for the ‘Every Step Funding Programme‘ enhanced offer (Option 2). This equates to 15 hours of childcare from the child’s 2nd birthday. This option is only available to families who are facing financial challenge and must be supported by a professional who knows the family
- Siblings of pupils at d’Auvergne who are eligible for Jersey Premium
- Siblings of pupils at cluster primary schools who are eligible for Jersey Premium
- Children who have special educational need and/or disability and are known to the Pre-school Forum. Applications must be supported by a professional from the Early Years Inclusion Team or a member of the therapeutic therapy teams
Priority will be given to children who plan to attend d’Auvergne school nursery for their NEF year.
