Special Needs Inclusion Programme Our specialist support means children with disabilities can go to nursery in Jersey. We believe ALL children have the right to high quality mainstream childcare in Jersey. We make this possible by providing extra help and support to mainstream private nurseries and pre-schools across Jersey through our Special Needs Inclusion Programme.
Best Start Plus Nursery Funding Programme We fund nursery places for those who need it most, when it matters most. We fund part-time (up to 12 hours a week) nursery placements for children aged between 2-3 years old who are not meeting their age expected developmental milestones at two. Nanny Accreditation We accredit and promote the employment of nannies who have met our professional standards, better safeguarding children. The Service: benefits nannies, employers and children is recognised by The Tax Office and Income Support so parents who are eligible may apply for Childcare Tax Relief or the Childcare Component of Income Support Accredited Nannies
Training and Development We work in partnership with members of the Best Start Partnership to provide training and development opportunities for the children’s workforce, parents and carers. Follow our Eventbrite channel to receive notifications of our new courses. Highlands College provide opportunities to gain qualifications in early childhood education and care.
